Trip to Provo...

Here's a pic of me and my oldest kid, checking himself into rehab... er... I mean.... the MTC...

He's my kid - I'm proud of him. We're all proud of him. He'll be great at whatever he does.

He's on his way to Fiji in October. He'll be leaving his suit jacket at home.

I have a great picture of said son, playing on the floor with his big ol' uncle. Seems like that was yesterday. Guess we're getting old, TOG.
The photo shows at least you're doing it gracefully.
Bastage!

God bless, and Godspeed. May your son's absence be easier on you than my neighbor's experience. He said after his son's recent return that he thinks he now better understands the movement of geologic time. His son, on the other hand, felt by the end of two years that the time was disappearing too fast.

having limited experience now on both sides of that continuum, I have a limited appreciation for both sides of that thought.

FWITW: I also have a picture, of both of us on the floor, 16 years ago, wearing ice cream buckets on our heads, handles under our chins, with plastic swords in our hands, playing soldier.

Seems like yesterday.
